From The New York Times overnight:
Now in its third year, the Brooklyn Book Festival , taking place on Sunday, has become “a destination for those who arrive via plane rather than subway,” like Patrice Nganang of Cameroon and Linn Ullmann of Norway, writes Monica Drake. Of course there is also plenty of local talent among the 140 authors scheduled to appear, like Simon Rich, Jonathan Franzen and Joseph O’Neill, and some nonbookish topics — the rockers Thurston Moore and Ian McKaye will out-indie each other; A. M. Homes will talk TV with Richard Price; and Marty Markowitz , the borough president, will effuse.
