NZ BOOK MONTH AUCKLAND LAUNCH

Wonderful celebration last evening at Auckland's beautiful Hopetoun Alpha with TV personality Miriam Kamo leading the way followed by excellent spoken contributions from Michele Powles, Associate Minister for the Arts, Judith Tizard, and Dave Armstrong followed by excerpts from recent NZ titles read by young actors. As one unnamed guest said to me, "actors read this stuff so much better than authors".

Congratulations to Michele Powles and all concerned, including all those noble volunteers, for a great night celebrating New Zealand books and those who create them. Bravo!
