LBF
A debut set in the aftermath of the bombing of a US embassy in Turkey and a "Highsmith-esque" psychological suspense novel are among the books which have sold for six figures ahead of London Book Fair.

Michael Joseph has acquired a new novel by Marian Keyes called The Break. The book, which will be Keyes’ 13th work of fiction, will publish in the UK and Ireland on 7th September 2017.

Children’s publishers are feeling “quietly optimistic” going into next week’s London Book Fair, with interest in acquiring across middle-grade, Young Adult and “crossover” titles.

Sauramps
The French Booksellers Association (Syndicat de la Librairie Française, SLF) has expressed its "full support (for) and confidence" in president Matthieu de Montchalin, who has come under fire over his bid to buy the Sauramps mini-chain of bookshops.
