2016 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults Finalists Announced

The finalists for the 2016 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults have been announced this morning.

The judges say they were spoilt for choice with the 154 submitted entries. "Haunted houses, war stories, gritty social issues and some amazingly imaginative works were all part of the mix. It was very challenging for us all to choose these finalists," says Fiona Mackie, convenor of the judges.
