Bloomsbury Acquires The Throne Of Glass Coloring Book

Press Release

Bloomsbury Children's Books is thrilled to announce the acquisition of world rights for The Throne of Glass Coloring Book, a companion to Sarah J. Maas' New York Times and USA Today bestselling series. The imaginatively lush and visually inspiring world in Throne of Glass makes it perfect for the first coloring book tied to a young adult series. The book will bring to life characters, scenes, and objects from all of the titles in the series. And with over one million copies of the series in circulation worldwide, fans around the globe will be anxious to add it to their shelves!

The New York Times and USA Today bestselling series, in which notorious assassin Celaena Sardothien fights for her freedom in a corrupt and brutal empire, has been published twenty-five languages to great acclaim, including being named as an Amazon and Kirkus Reviews Best Teen Book of 2012. It has been heralded as "epic fantasy gold" by USA Today, and the fourth book, Queen of Shadows, was recently voted by Goodreads users as the Best Young Adult Fantasy & Science-Fiction novel of 2015. The fifth book in the series will be released in September 2016.

With the TV rights for the Throne of Glass series recently optioned by The Mark Gordon Company and the film rights for the first book in Maas' other YA series, A Court of Thorns and Roses, optioned by Tempo Productions, Maas' fanbase will continue to grow as readers worldwide anxiously await the publication of each new book in the series and their on-screen depictions.

"Sarah and the Throne of Glass series have been at the forefront of YA fantasy since the first book was published in 2012, and now she continues to lead with this first coloring book for a YA series," says Catherine Onder, Bloomsbury Children's US Editorial Director. "I, along with millions of fans, can't wait to see the characters and scenes come to life on the page!"

Publication is scheduled globally for September 2016 to coordinate with the release of the fifth book in the Throne of Glass series.
