The Real New Zealand

Once again, acclaimed photographer Fay Looney has produced an engaging tribute to the
New Zealand way of life, capturing the distinctive qualities of both landscape and people in a new hardback gift/souvenir book. A perfect little stocking stuffer for ex-pat family/friends.

The Real New Zealand is a photographic journey from Northland to Stewart Island in the uniquely postcard-style that Fay is known for – that special light at dawn on a deserted
beach, brightly painted murals on sheds and barns, exotic body art and sculpture, and
people enjoying the simple outdoor pleasures of fishing, horse-riding and camping in holiday spots around the country.

Fay has an innate sense of what will appeal to New Zealanders and visitors alike,
approaching her craft with a quirky charm and humour.
