Julia Gillard served as the 27th Prime Minister of Australia, and the Australian Labor Party leader from 2010 to 2013, she was the first woman to hold either position.
Ms Gillard was also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and Social Inclusion.
Following the publication of her memoirs My Story, Julia Gillard appears in an hour of conversation with former political journalist and lawyer Linda Clark.

“I was prime minister for three years and three days. Three years and three days of resilience. Three years and three days of changing the nation. Three years and three days for you to judge.”

Julia Gillard will discuss her term as Prime Minister, her achievements, her mistakes and being a woman at the highest levels of Australian political and public life. Ms Gillard will also talk about her current involvement with Hillary Clinton and the CHARGE initiative which includes $600 million in funding for the education for girls and women globally.
There will be an opportunity for questions from the floor.
