A memorable event took place
at Unity Books Wellington last Thursday evening. New Zealand Books celebrated
their centenary issue. An impressive gathering of friends, reviewers, lovers
and co-workers assembled to hear Kathryn Ryan deliver an impassioned speech on
the importance of the journal to NZ society and Jane Westaway – one of the
journal’s co-editors – officially launch it.
It was a busy evening and plenty of good vibrations were sent out into the night.
