Chris Evans' autobiography It's Not What You Think has retained its number one slot in the iPad paid-for chart, since the device was launched on Friday.

The book, originally published by HarperCollins last October, is available on the iBookStore for £3.99. The mass market edition carries a recommended retail price of £7.99, and has been selling at around £5.20 at UK bookshops on average in recent weeks.

However Jeremy Clarkson's For Crying Out Loud (Penguin) has slipped from second place to seventh. The 2008 book, which is selling for £6.49 via Apple, is £1.50 cheaper than the mass market paperback edition, and 26p less than the average selling price over the last month.
Sneaking into second position is Quick Reads novel The Perfect Murder, by Peter James (Pan Macmillan), which is selling for its full retail price £1.99.
Third is Richard Wiseman's 59 Seconds (Pan), which is again selling for the r.r.p of £8.99; Amazon.co.uk is currently selling the paperback for £3.59.

Within the free books, A A Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh has kept its top spot, but Apple's own iPad User Guide has risen to number two.

Apple announced this weekend it had sold more than two million devices in less than 60 days. The figure includes international sales - as well as the UK, the iPad went on sale in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and Switzerland on Friday (28th May).
