Random House chief executive Gail Rebuck has presented children’s charity Kids Company with a £32,000 cheque following a “record-breaking” year of fundraising across the publishing house which smashed its £10,000 target.
Kids Company staff and children mentored by the charity joined Random House staff at Vauxhall Bridge Road yesterday to celebrate the fundraising total, which was achieved with activities including a Christmas market, skydiving, participation in the London Marathon and sponsored walk, the Random Ramble.
