FROM SUSANNA ANDREW

For those of you  with a gap in your life after 48 hours with the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival I might be able to help - I work for the NZ Book Council & we're putting together an evening of story telling. What it is in reality is a group of people who have a story to tell, it could be anything but something with a beginning, a middle and an end, and it sort of needs to be true...so they get up (it's at TAPAC) on the stage, in the light, on the chair, whatever, and tell a story. for no more than 10 minutes. It's about attempting to bring back the oral tradition, about not focusing or losing focus in amongst all that technology, it's about listening and being present with other people, it's about our own imaginations and that connective inspiration.

What do you think? Want to hear a story?

The next session is on the 23rd of this month which is a Sunday evening at TAPAC at 6pm
The bar will definitely be open!
