Arthur Conan Doyle
Sotheby’s are to auction, A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle which was the author’s first published novel, on 15 July in London. This was the book that introduced Sherlock Holmes. It is expected to raise up to £400,000.
Sotheby’s believe that this is one of only two existing inscribed copies.
