 Reacher still alive, reassures Transworld

26.05.10 | Benedicte Page in The Bookseller

Lee Child's hero Jack Reacher survived the bomb blast that ended his most recent novel 61 Hours, Transworld has confirmed. 61 Hours, published in March, ended on a cliffhanger, with the publisher cranking up the tension in advance of the next book in the series, Worth Dying For.

The new title, the 15th Reacher novel, will be published as a Bantam Press hardback on 30th September, and it will be the first time Child has published two novels in the same year.

Transworld said Worth Dying For would explain "how Reacher survived a massive underground explosion".

Whew! The Bookman is mighty glad to get this news.
