THE NEW YORKER
Dec 21 & 28, 2009
Reading this bumper double edition over the holidays I was especially taken by three things - a poem by leading NZ poet Bill Manhire, My Childhood in Ireland, and two advertisments, the first a whole page full colour ad for Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel, and a smaller ad for audible.com headed Obama Reads Obama - just one of 60,000 titles read by your favourite authors and performers.
To read Bill Manhire's poem and check out the rest of the issue link to The New Yorker online.
