NEWS FROM AUCKLAND WRITERS & READERS FESTIVAL

JILL RAWNSLEY STAYS AS CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Jill Rawnsley, previously the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival Director, will continue at the Festival as Artistic Director. Jill has led the development of the event since 2001 where she has, together with Festival Founders and original Creative Directors Stephanie Johnson and Peter Wells, brought authors and speakers from around the globe and every corner of New Zealand to Auckland for six highly innovative and extraordinary Festivals. We're thrilled to have Jill return to the fold after a well-deserved break and excited about what the 2010 Auckland Writers & Readers Festival 10th anniversary year has to offer.
A BIG WELCOME: ANNE RODDA
We would like to welcome Anne Rodda into the pages of the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival story. Anne Rodda has extensive experience in arts and event management as the Director of the Michael Hill International Violin Competition, General Manager of NZ Sculpture OnShore and the former General Manager of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. We are delighted to have Anne on board as Acting General Manager.

We would like to call your attention to a great new event for the writing and publishing community!

The First Annual Self-Publishing Book Expo

Saturday, November 7th

The first annual Self-Publishing Book Expo, to be held at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers, will bring national focus and attention to the fastest-growing segment of today’s publishing industry. Unlike any other book exhibit, the Self-Publishing Book Expo will be the only event of its kind to highlight the books of self-publishing companies and their authors, and give them the prominence and prestige they deserve.

Please check out the website: http://www.selfpubbookexpo.com

Watch for further postings as we develop more panels and lectures, partner with new sponsors, and sign up a rapidly growing list of exhibitors.
