WILD MARY WAS WILD INDEED
I greatly enjoyed listening to Patrick Marnham talk about writing the Mary Wesley biography, Wild Mary at the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival last week.
It was intriguing that Toby Eady, Mary Wesley's second son, and now a prominent literary agent in London, (and married to author Xinran), was travelling with him and they are clearly great friends.
I am grateful to Random House publicist Jennifer Balle for bringing to my attention a delightful and frank piece written by Toby Eady in the Sunday Times in June last year.
It is well worth a read whether or not you have read the biography. But be warned having read this piece you will immediately want to read Wild Mary.
