ART + OBJECT - 21ST CENTURY AUCTION HOUSE

These guys burst on the Auckland art scene a few months back and I must say from my viewpoint it looks like they are doing everything right to ensure their longevity.

Their catalogue, to be published six times a year, is certainly impressive and I must say I admire these art auction houses which manage to sell their catalogues at reasonably stiff prices, this one is NZ$100, A$160, including gst & post, for the six issues. These catalogues are in essence merely an advertsing tool for the products they have to sell. Clever.

Having said that though, the quality of the paper, design, layout, use of full colour art etc is truly impressive. If you are a collector or simply have an interest in the local art scene then a sub to Art + Objects fine catalogues is worth the hundred bucks.
