NFFD 2017 competition judges in conversation

The 2017 National Flash Fiction Day judges (adult category) Michael Harlow and Emma Neale can be found in the February issue of Flash Frontier: An Adventure in Short Fiction, sharing insights about compressed writing and more. Readers can find a conversation with Michael Harlow here, in which he discusses his role as Guest Editor of the February issue, his joy of discovery when reading small ‘flashes’ and what he looks for as he reads the way words and images come together on the page.
In an interview with Emma Neale (here), readers will find her views on compressed writing as a tradition in New Zealand, opening lines, the line between poetry and story and what she’ll be looking for as one of the 2017 NFFD judges.
Readers will also find a flash interview with youth category judges Fleur Beale and Heather McQuillan, here.

Please feel free to share!
