Authors a'plenty at The Women's Bookshop

Tuesday 13 December 6 – 9pm

6pm Diane Newcombe & Melissa Anderson Scott will read from & sign copies of their brand new picture book A is for Aotearoa. It’s a lift-the-flap treasure hunt, great for littlies.

6.30pm Stephanie Johnson will sign copies of Good Dog! New Zealand Writers on Dogs – a delightful, often funny, collection of poetry & prose from some of our best writers.
Perfect gift for dog-lovers!

6.30 – 7.30 Julie Helean & Gina Cole will chat & sign their books We the Ones (a bold, funny, lesbian, political-activist novel) and Black Ice Matter (a brilliant collection of sharp short stories)

7pm Journalist Adam Dudding will sign copies of his memoir My Father’s Island, a tender, funny, personal account of his literary father Robin Dudding, & also an important piece of NZ social & cultural history.

7.30pm Jonothan Cullinane will sign his lively & very local crime novel, Red Herring  set during the 1951 waterfront strike. Private Detective Johnny Molloy has to deal with rival unions, dark political agendas & anti-communism, as well as his own secrets.

8pm Peta Mathias will sign copies of her delightful new book Never Put All Your Eggs in One Bastard, an outrageous ‘memoir of sorts’ about travel, house renovations, food, music, men & change.
