Title and Jacket Revealed for David Walliams’ Ninth Novel for Children


HarperCollins Children’s Books is delighted to announce the news that millions of children around the globe have been waiting for – the arrival of the ninth fiction novel from David Walliams.

In what has already been a phenomenally successful publishing year for the UK’s biggest children’s fiction author, his next book, The Midnight Gang, has black-and-white line illustrations and will publish in trade paperback, priced $24.99, before Christmas on or about the 7th November. It will be released simultaneously in eBook and audio, with the story hilariously performed by the author himself. The cover, illustrated by Tony Ross, is revealed for the first time today.

With all the hallmarks of a Walliams classic, this heart-warming, humorous tale is set to be the publishing event of the season, making the gift of a Walliams story a must-have for every child this Christmas.
