New Zealand and the First World War: 1914-1919 - launched at Government House

Last night the second book in the Centenary History of New Zealand and the First World War series was launched at Government House in the presence of a large number of invited guests. Speakers included the prime minister, the governor-general and the minister of arts, culture and heritage.

New Zealand and the First World War: 1914-1919 is modelled on similar ‘engineered paper’ publications produced by Carlton for the Imperial War Museum . Fifty large format two-page plates feature fold-out maps, packets containing facsimiles of letters, manuals, postcards, aircraft recognition profiles and other documents.

Mission Hall provided the design for Penguin, the publisher.
