Tuesday Poem communal poem into its third week
So far 11 poets from four countries have posted 11 stanzas on the NZ-based Tuesday Poem's 3rd birthday poem. And there are 7 more to go. Australia's Catherine Bateson has posted the 11th stanza and stanza 12 is due today from New Zealander Alicia Ponder.
The poem's been touted as a kind of jazz poem with rhythm and repetition and riffs playing through and between stanzas Here's one of the stanzas from T Clear of Seattle.
Miss Lily's a teaser
Miss Lily's a cat
don't try to appease her
she'll disappear fast —
Miss Lily's a cat
don't try to appease her
she'll disappear fast —
But is she a cat, really? Check out the poem to see.
