Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2013

Janet DeNeefe

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival's new look eNews. It's our 10-year anniversary this year and to celebrate this milestone achievement we have a new logo, a beautiful new Festival poster, courtesy of the design team at IMAGI Studio, and next month we will be revealing our brand new website.

Exciting developments are underway in our programming department too. As well as preparing for the upcoming Bali Emerging Writers Festival (18 - 19 May), our team is busy piecing together the 2013 UWRF program and plotting the amazing combinations and conversations that will take place in Ubud from 11 - 15 October. It's safe to say the 2013 Festival is shaping up to be the most exciting and diverse Ubud Writers & Readers Festival yet.

Of course, planning a world-class literary event with over 130 guest speakers requires much behind-the-scenes support as well. Each year, the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival is made possible by the generosity of our Festival Partners. We thank all of our Partners for their ongoing support and would like to give a special mention this month to Ambassador Melba Pria of the Mexican Embassy and Festival Patron Warwick Purser, who hosted a superb cocktail evening for the UWRF at the Ambassador's home in Jakarta on 4 April.

Until next time,
