Wanted to share with you this breaking news Graham: here’s a link
to a new Janet frame novel freshly listed Friday on Text Publishing’s
website, to be published in March 2013:
In the Memorial Room
will be the very last novel by Janet Frame to be published (making a sum total
of 13 novels). It’s also to be published in the USA next spring.
The novel was written and set in Menton while Janet Frame was
there as Katherine Mansfield fellow in 1974. It’s a savagely funny social
satire, a hugely enjoyable read.
FYI the short story volume Gorse
is Not People published in August by Penguin NZ has spent three
months so far on the top 5 of the Nielsen NZ Fiction bestseller chart, a
pleasing result in these times.

'Savagely funny social satire' and Frame sound fascinating bedfellows. My book budget is getting really stretched, though.
@ Mark - sounds like you're unfamiliar with the range and scope of Frame's work. Plenty of her books in your nearest public library if you are on a limited income. Gorse is Not People is a good place to start. You may be surprised.
