Overnight in London Booktrust announced the winners of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2010. The Prize, which is in its third year, celebrates the funniest books for children aged 0-6 and for children aged 7-14.
The Prize was founded by Michael Rosen when he was Children’s Laureate in 2008. It is the first of its kind; founded to honour those books that simply make children laugh.
The winners of this year’s Prize are:
Dog Loves Books by Louise Yates (Jonathan Cape) in the funniest book for children aged 0-6 category.
Withering Tights by Louise Rennison (Harper Collins) in the funniest book for children aged 7-14 category.
