Junor to write William biography for Hodder
The Bookseller - 17.11.10 - Charlotte Williams
Bestselling royal biographer Penny Junor will be penning Prince William: The People's Prince for Hodder & Stoughton. Hodder's director of non-fiction Rowena Webb and senior editor Fenella Bates acquired world rights in the title through agent Jane Turnbell.
The book will look at the Prince's life story, and will be published after his wedding to Kate Middleton next year as it will include details and photographs of the ceremony.
Webb said: "Penny Junor is in a unique position to write this biography—not just because of her well-known skills as a biographer but because of her deep knowledge and highly successful books about both of William's parents too. This book will be head and shoulders above the others."
Turnbell said: "Hodder have made a major acquisition brilliantly and swiftly. Penny Junor has been writing about the royal family for many years and all her books have been international bestsellers. The People's Prince will be the book that will be read when all the souvenir supplements have gone into the recycling!"
It will be published in royal format, priced £18.99.
