AN HOUR WITH JILL DAWSON - AWRF

This utterly charming, highly successful UK novelist is little known in New Zealand but this afternoon under the skilled guidance of chair Carole Beu, (The Women's Bookshop), this will have been at least partly corrected.

She and Carole Beu (who always does her homework) sat and chatted in a relaxed and engaging manner about Jill's six novels the latest of which is The Great Lover in which the main character is poet Rupert Brooke. She read from this title and from her previous book Fred & Edie. Her first two titles were contemporary novels but those that have followed have all been novels based on real people and actual historical incidents. Thes recent titles have all been critically acclaimed in the UK.
A warm and satisfying session.
