Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards - boost to fundingA comprehensive review of the two WA book awards has now concluded and Western Australian Culture and the Arts Minister, John Day announced this morning that the Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards will receive an additional $80,000 a year in State Government funding.
The Minister said he made the decision to strengthen the successful and popular WA Premier’s Book Awards (PBA), while the Australia-Asia Literary Award (AALA) would be discontinued.

Thanks for posting the information regarding the Western Australian Premier's Book Awards. Entries for the 2008 and 2009 Awards are now open and the Guidelines and Entry Forms are on the State Library website www.slwa.wa.gov.au We have also posted an Expression of Interest to be a judge on these Awards and thought this may be of interest to you.
