SNOW FALLING IN NY ON NEW YEAR'S EVE

We awoke this morning to find snow falling heavily, picture postcard stuff. Set off to Leo's Bagels in Hanover Square, in the finacial district just off Williams Street, to load up with bagels for breakfast. They were yummy. Have since been to the superb Wholefoods supermarket to stock up with provisions for tonight's party.
I enjoy supermarket shopping and visit Victoria Park New World most days at home, it is an excellent supermarket but it could be tucked into one corner of Wholefoods in Tribeca. And the range of stuff is mind blowing e.g. over 70 choices of hummus, and 12 varieties of mango chutney. There are two separate chcek out areas, one soley express for those with fewer than 15 items and the other for everyone else. This supermarket ocuupies an entire city block.

The scale of things here is impressive. Yesterday I mentioned the IKEA store we visited in brookly. I forgot to the three acre mentions of car parking, and that they have their own ferry terminal, restaurant and fast food section. The Bookman would like to take this opportunity to thanks all his readers for their visits to his blog over the 2009, most days there were AROUND 1600-2000 visitors, and also to wish all readers a happy, peaceful and healthy 2010.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
