RICHARD TILL SWINGS THROUGH AUCKLAND

Last night the champion of kitchen straightforwardness, Richard Till, entertained a capacity crowd at Ponsonby Road's superb specialist bookshop, Cook the Books, when his new book was offically launched.

In his customary appealing manner, (this man is a natural entertainer), he covered a raft of subjects including his wish to get men back into the kitchen, the need for straightforward recipes with adequate instruction without being over prescriptive, salmon farming, the value sitting down at a table for meals with family and friends, and much more too.
Almost all resent then lined up to buy his book and have him sign it for us.

A great night out wonderfully hosted by booksellers Michael and Felicity. A special treat was the finger food prepared by Felicity and all made using recipes from Richard Till Makes It Easy. My favourites were the Cheese Rolls.

Cook the Books is impressively well set up for cookery book launches and cookery demonstrations .At the back of the bookshop they have a spacious, fully equippped brand new kitchen. Cookery classes are planned.
