Frank Sargeson House Open Day
The Sargeson Trust will be opening the doors on Sunday of this historic home where Frank Sargeson lived and wrote for 50 years from the 1940s until his death in 1982. Sargeson is widely regarded as the father of modern New Zealand writing. The Trust with the law firm, Buddle Findlay, offers an annual fellowship to New Zealand writers in his name.

The house was restored by the Sargeson Trust with the assistance of Hayden and Rollett. It is a significant part of the North Shore City Heritage Festival running 2 – 12 October.
