illustrators read from their brand-new books.
Author Jill Harris will talk about The Red Suitcase, her novel for young adults, based on the letters and diary of her
uncle's bombing missions over Germany.
Illustrator Gabriella Klepatski will speak about
her charming story of a grandfather and a cat, Blackie: the
fisher-cat
, by Janet Pereira.
Author Dee Pigneguy will introduce Grow me well:
nutritional know-how for everyone.

Also we want to let you know that something good is happening soon at Takapuna Library
We are
getting brand new carpet, brand new furniture, fantastic new layout and great
new shelving.
The
planned work is scheduled from Saturday 28 June to Sunday 17 August 2014.
During
the refurbishment we will have limited services in temporary premises located
at 2 The Strand, just over the road from us now. Some of our patrons may
recognise this as the site of the old Takapuna Library!
