S&S to publish Robson Green's 'Extreme Fishing'

Simon & Schuster is set to publish an “angling adventure full of drama” titled Extreme Fishing, by television presenter and former pop star Robson Green.
Green already presents Channel 5’s "Extreme Fishing" programme, now in its sixth series, which charts Robson’s angling exploits around the world with the help of local fishermen, and demonstrates the most extreme techniques he uses to catch fish.
The book is set to revisit and retell some of Robson’s greatest adventures in all corners of the globe and will also include details of his best and worst catches, top fishing locations and tips and pointers for fishing enthusiasts.
S&S editor Briony Gowlett acquired world rights in the book from Ajda Vucicevic at LBA acting on behalf of Zodiak Rights & IWC Media. It is planned for a May release.
Robson Green said: “Fish tend not to reside in ugly places, so no matter where you are casting a line, what type of fish you are after and who you are with, it's very difficult to be unhappy. Extreme Fishing will take you on an extreme angling adventure full of drama, pathos, hilarity and a journey that sometimes turns the ludicrous and absurd into something beautiful. Enjoy the read.”
Gowlett added: “Extreme Fishing promises to be energetic, joyous, dramatic, funny and more! This truly is adventure led narrative non-fiction at its very best.”
