The winning story was The Cry Baby
by Renata Hopkins of Christchurch. The two runners-up were Little Red Riding
Hood Does Over the Big Bad Wolf by Wendy O’Malley of Whanganui and Evil
Fairy Tales by Alice and Pagan Tawhai of Dunedin, who unfortunately could
not be there on the night.
The event was co-organised by The Listener,
Goethe-Institut New Zealand, and Victoria University of Wellington’s
International Institute of Modern Letters. Hosted by Unity Books.
