Salman
Rushdie’s memoir Joseph Anton will be published in NZ tomorrow, Friday
21st September.
The publishers say the book is one of exceptional frankness and
honesty, compelling, provocative, moving, and of
vital importance. What happened to Salman Rushdie was the first act of a drama
that is still unfolding somewhere in the world every day.
My review copy arrived today and I have to say that at 636 pages it appears rather daunting.
