Rocker Carlos Santana has signed a book deal to write a memoir about his life for Hachette’s Little, Brown and Co. imprint. The book has yet to be titled but it is slated for release in 2014.
The Associated Press has more about the book: “The 65-year-old Santana is expected to tell stories of such friends and peers as Miles Davis, Eric Clapton and Herbie Hancock. Little, Brown and Co. has a strong history of rock star memoirs: Two years ago, it published Keith Richard‘s ‘Life.’”
Santana began his career in San Francisco in the 1960s. He is known for such hits as Evil Ways and According to his website, he has sold more than 100 million records, won 10 Grammy Awards and was placed No. 20 on Rolling Stone‘s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list.
Numerous biographies on Santana exist but this will be his first memoir.
