Annabel Langbein's stunning book has dominated the best-seller lists in New Zealand since it was first published to coincide with her TV series of the same name which screens peak time Saturday nights on TV One and draws up to 500,000 viewers each week.
Since I wrote about the book a few weeks back it has sold more than 10,000 copies in New Zealand, an amazing result in a market this small, but I guess not all that surprising when you consider the huge promotion it receives from the luscious televison series.
Then in the December issue of the always appealing NEXT magazine, which hit our mail box this week, there is a nine page cover story feature by Jane Bisley on Annabel and her utopian life, her tv series and its sale to 72 countries, the book, all accompanied by gorgeous photos by Emma Bass. This is publicity of immense value, publicity that money cannot buy.
One assumes that the enterprising Langbein, whose companyAnnabel Langbein Media publishes her books, will be selling the new title worldwide in a number of translations. The book and the tv series will do much to promote NZ tourism as well as the Annabel Langbein brand.
Good stuff, well done Annabel, we are proud of you.
