There have been two biographies published recently on the life of controversial Russian author Ayn Rand, exponent of laissez-faire policies.
Kim talks to one of the authors, Anne C. Heller; she's been the managing editor of literary magazine The Antioch Review, a fiction editor of Esquire and Redbook, the features editor of Lear's women's magazine, and the executive editor of the magazine development group at Conde Nast Publications.
Her book is Ayn Rand and the World She Made (Nan A. Talese, ISBN: 978-0385513999)
The final Kate’s Klassic for 2009 is The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler (Popular Penguins, ISBN: 9780141037592).
