Nielsen BookData announce the shortlist for the 2009 Nielsen BookData New Zealand Booksellers’ Choice Award.
Nielsen BookData announce the shortlist for the 2009 Nielsen BookData New Zealand Booksellers’ Choice Award.
This award is unique in that it acknowledges the key role booksellers play in supporting New Zealand writing and publishing. Booksellers are asked to vote for the book they have most enjoyed reading, selling and promoting.
The award carries a prize of $NZ2500 for the winning author. All booksellers who vote will enter a prize draw for a year’s subscription to BookData Online.

Nga Tama Toa: The Price of Citizenship by Monty Soutar, published by David Bateman
Rita Angus: An Artist's Life by Jill Trevelyan, published by Te Papa Press
Voting forms will be included in the June issue of the Booksellers News and voting will close Friday 26 June 2009.
The winner will be announced in Auckland at the 2009 Book Industry Awards and Conference Dinner on Sunday 26 July 2009.
