Huia Publishers seeking Sales and Marketing Manager
With the vision to ensure that Māori stories have a place in New Zealand literature and throughout the world, we are seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager keen to make a difference. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional with our Wellington based company.
You will be required to:
Lead the marketing, promotion and sales of HUIA books
Grow sales revenue across each channel, driving growth in sales of new releases and backlist titles
Provide support to a national sales team
Manage direct marketing and the HUIA website to increase sales nationally and internationally
Use market research to provide robust advice on publishing decisions
Organise media campaigns and events to promote HUIA books and authors
Liaise with authors, booksellers, distributors and the news media to ensure they are well informed of our products.
This position is for an enthusiastic ambassador with a knowledge of Māori and Pacific issues and perspectives; a tertiary qualification in marketing or journalism; and work experience in a related field.
