BOASTING FROM THE BOOKMAN

Weekly visitor numbers for this blog in 2008 have varied from 3208 to 8107 with most weeks sitting around the 4000 mark.
Yesterday though, Monday 12 May, numbers hit an all time high for one day - 3234 !!
I am at a loss to understand why, there hasn't been anything controversial/sensational/scandalous posted in the past few weeks so I will do some digging to see if I can establish what it is that caused such a huge upturn.

Maybe it's because we all think you do a damn fine blog and we can't live without it!

This certainly is a damn fine blog, it may also have to do with being referenced on
Neil Gaiman's blog the day before! :-)

And because you update your blog so many times a day, you must get lots of people checking in ten times a day when they should be working! (Me? Never!)

Thanks for these comments, much appreciated.
Mike C proves to be correct in suggesting that it might have been being referenced on Neil Gaiman's blog - http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2008/05/still-off-clock.htmlblog.

He picked up on my news release regarding the Waterstone's Charity auction and the day following some 1500 mainly from the US & Canada linked back to my blog for that story.
