KAPKA COMES "HOME".

How good to see the attractive smiling face of the multi-talented writer Kapka Kassabova on the Aotea stage during the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival this week. The award winning poet/novelist/travel writer, whom we like to claim as our own, these days lives in Scotland.

Her visit to participate in the Festival was timely as Penguin Books has just landed her latest title, STREET WITHOUT A NAME- Childhood & Other Misadventures in Bulgaria, which she read from last evening while on the Who Do You Think You Are panel.

I bought a copy afterwards and got to page 22 last night before giving in to much needed sleep! It starts well and I look forward to finishing it post Festival.
