PAVLOVA WITH EVERYTHING
AT THE AUCKLAND WRITERS & READERS FESTIVAL
What a fun and enormously entertaining this hour proved to be. Four famous NZ foodies on the stage - Chair Lauraine Jacobs, (author & food writer), Helen Leach, (author & food historian), Alexa Johnston (author & curator) and food writer and journalsit Ray McVinnie.
Jacobs, who was really a fourth panellist, made a superb job of directing the panel, and as a result we had a non-stop hour of mouth-watering entertainment. They were all stars and at the end one felt a great urge to rush off home to make some ginger gems or a pavolva.
