HIT Entertainment sells Guinness World Records to Canada's Jim Pattison Group

MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - The Jim Pattison Group unit Jim Pattison Entertainment Ltd has bought Guinness World Records from HIT Entertainment, the companies said in a joint release.
They added that details of the sale will not be made public.

The Jim Pattison Group is Canada's third largest private company, and its holdings include Ripley Entertainment Inc, which has held the global rights to develop and operate Guinness World Records museums and attractions for over a decade.

'The coming together of Guinness World Records and Ripley's Believe It or Not! creates an historic combination of the world-leading authorities on records and record-breaking, and all that is unbelievable,' said Jim Pattison Jr, president of Ripley Entertainment.
