THE RED WHEELBARROW BOOKSTORE
Earlier today I wrote about my visit to this wonderful Paris bookstore but forgot to mention the derivation of the somewhat unusual name.
When we asked about it Abigail pointed to the poem on the wall by William Carlos Williams:
The Red Wheelbarrow
so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens
