The ‘Children-Spectators’ Illustration Contest
The first edition of the ‘Children-Spectators’ illustration contest got off to a great start with 418 illustrators from some 45 countries submitting their work to a jury made up of experts from a range of fields: illustration, theatre and children’s literature. The works selected will be part of an exhibition in town at Teatro Testoni Ragazzi during the book fair. The competition is part of the four-year project "Mapping - A map on the aesthetics of performing arts for early years" supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. The project involves 18 partners across Europe – including BCBF and La Baracca-Testoni Ragazzi – with the aim of creating an interaction between the performing arts and the world of illustration and literature for early childhood.
