Publishing collective, Eunoia Books have successfully published four titles

The Creative Hub provides a variety of writing courses, taught by some of New Zealand’s leading writers.
Former students of Creative Hub Director John Cranna have formed a publishing collective, Eunoia Books, and have now successfully published four titles.

Their latest offering, Ann Glamuzina’s elegiac novel Rich Man Road (a play on Grey Lynn’s ‘Richmond Road’) this month reached No 1 on the Booksellers NZ fiction sales list.
Ann says of her novel: ‘The idea for Rich Man Road had come to me many years before during several months spent in Croatia. My extended family lives in Croatia and I have grown up with the rich stories and legends of the Dalmatian coast. During WWII, my grandmother (and aunts and uncle) escaped the German occupation, spending time as refugees in the British run camps in El Shatt, Egypt. As the manuscript developed, the Samoan character of Pualele appeared and I received generous information from Samoan friends, and Journalist Andrew Fiu about Samoan culture and growing up in 1970’s Grey Lynn.’
Edited by former Penguin head and Hub tutor, Geoff Walker, Ann’s novel received a glowing review from Rae McGregor on National Radio recently. This has helped sales, as has Ann’s commitment to launching the book in cities up and down the country. Ann is a graduate of the fore-runner to our Thirty Week Fiction course.
Thirty Week Fiction course graduate Stephen Leaton, has also published his novel, Vivienne’s Blog, through Eunoia Books.
