Feminist icon Gloria Steinem will deliver her first book in more than 20 years this fall, Random House announced Wednesday.
My Life on the Road is due on Oct. 27. It's described as "a candid account of how her early years led her to an on-the-road kind of life traveling, listening to people, learning, and creating change." She will reflect "on how the most transformative ideas sometimes come from the most unexpected people and encounters," according to the publisher.
Steinem, 81, is also the author of such books as Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem and Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions.
In 1972, Steinem co-founded Ms. Magazine, and in 2013, she received thePresidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama .
