This week, thirteen–or just over half–of the top-25 best-selling ebooks belong to Penguin Random House.
One of them is Laura Hillenbrand’s Unbroken, which shoots to No. 1 as a film adaptation, directed by Angelina Jolie, prepares to hit theaters this Christmas. The past year has amply demonstrated the power of media tie-ins to boost sales of best-selling ebooks, a phenomenon that Unbroken appears to prove once more.
The average price of a best-selling ebook climbs up to $5.96, from $5.61 last week, after slipping dramatically the week before the Black Friday shopping period kicked off.
