Whitcoulls has been asking New Zealanders to vote for their favourite books for nearly 20 years. The single most popular book since they started compiling their Top 100 Books in 1996 remains The Lord of The Rings. Will 2014 be the year that this classic book is toppled from the top three?
The voting campaign for Whitcoulls Top 100 Books in 2014 is live in-store and online today, with Kiwi readers’ having three weeks to vote for their favourite books and authors before the closing date of June 22. Kiwi readers can vote for up to three authors and three books, and voting takes place in one of several ways:
1) Online at www.whitcoulls.co.nz
2) At Whitcoulls stores nationwide
3) On their smart phones/tablets using a unique QR code.
More than 27,000 votes were cast for Whitcoulls Top 100 list in 2013, with two of the top three titles from previous years retaining their spots as the most popular. Whitcoulls hopes to attract even more voters in 2014 and is offering New Zealanders the chance to be in to win one of three $1,000 Whitcoulls Gift Cards. Full details are available at www.whitcoulls.co.nz.
